The Mensa Education & Research Foundation is a philanthropic, nonprofit organization committed to the pursuit of excellence in human intelligence. Their mission and strategic focus are directed at scholarships, education and awards. Applicants should write an essay of around 550 words explaining their career, academic and/or vocational goals and how they plan to achieve those goals. The Cal Coast Cares Foundation is pleased to provide the James L McPheters California Coast Credit Union High School Scholarship Program. 20 scholarships for $2,000 each will be awarded to college-bound high school seniors and current college students who are in or have been in the foster care program in San Diego or Riverside County. Students receiving the Foster Student Scholarship are eligible for another $2,000 the following year by continuing to maintain the requirements.
