Odenza Vacations College Scholarship

Over the Rainbow Scholarship

Each applicant must submit (1) A short video or sample of your highlighted performances or artwork (2) A resume of your musical, theatre, art, or chorus background (3) Three reference letters from teachers (4) A copy of the acceptance letter from the college you will be attending in the fall. Association of African American Educators (AAAE) Scholarship

Bridge for Kids Scholarships

HACU IES Abroad Scholarship

Amount: $2,500 a semester

Open to students who are currently attending a Hispanic-Serving Institution that is a member of Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities (HACU - www.hacu.net).

Requirement: If awarded one of these scholarships, at the conclusion of the IES Abroad program you agree to submit a 1-page statement about your experience abroad, including how it has affected you personally, professionally, and academically and how this scholarship supported your endeavors.

Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship San Diego Alumni Chapter

Eligibility: Male students who attend or plan to attend a local university. San Diego area, high school seniors may apply. Have a Grade Point Average (G.P.A.) of 3.0 or better. Provide one letter of recommendation from a school staff member at the school of attendance; Provide one letter of recommendation from a person in the community; Provide a one-page personal statement that highlights the applicant’s views on current issues that are important to him/her which outlines their motivation to seek a higher education.

Visionary Scholarship

9-12th grade, essay, unofficial transcripts. Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 each with multiple winners to be selected.  Each award is a non-renewable, one-time award and is to be used exclusively to offset costs and fees related directly to the student’s first year of higher post-secondary education at an accredited institution of the student’s choosing within the US.

This is a scholarship opportunity specifically open to Multilingual students. To apply, you should be a  high school senior who has been enrolled as an English Language Learner (ELL) at some point during your K-12 education. Applicants should plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year. Scholarship recipients will receive a $2,000 award.

Aging Matters Scholarship

The SeniorCare.com Aging Matters Scholarship is a $1500 scholarship that will be given annually to a selected college student that currently cares for an aging loved one, works within the senior community, or intends to pursue a career that will have an impact on the elder population. Any existing student (or incoming freshman), in good academic standing, at a 2 or 4 year accredited college can apply for this scholarship. The recipient should demonstrate a unique and admirable understanding and desire to show us that "Aging Matters" to them.

The Ascend Scholarship

The Ascend Scholarship was founded on the belief that motivated individuals in need should have the opportunity to further their education. It seeks to increase college access to minorities and first-generation applicants. Applicants must meet the following criteria: be graduating high school seniors or community college transfer students who plan to enroll full-time at UC San Diego, be members of an underrepresented racial or ethnic group, have a demonstrated financial need, and have a minimum unweighted GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. This scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, books, room & board and other educational expenses.

Eligibility: Grade level: Graduate student attending US based college or university, Minimum GPA: 3.0. Pursuing a graduate degree in the social sciences, economics preferred but not required. Research/study topics: preference given to topics that benefit those in social/economic need, especially Asian and Asian American communities. Ethnic heritage: preference for Asian heritage though not required.

Open to students of all majors. Must have a weighted GPA of at least 3.5.
