The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

The awardees, JRF Scholars, will receive grants of up to $35,000 over four years to complement the financial aid they receive from their colleges or universities. Applicants should be minority high school seniors able to present evidence of financial need. They should demonstrate a record of academic excellence, leadership potential, and a dedication to community service. Applicants are asked to submit test scores, a letter of recommendation, and four essays.

The Princeton Prize in Race Relations

Description: This prize recognizes and rewards high school students who have had a significant positive effect on race relations in their schools or communities through their volunteer efforts.

Eligibility: Open to 9th through 12th graders. 2 part Application (one for student and one for sponsor).

Award: cash prize of $1,000 and an all-expenses-paid weekend to a Symposium on Race at Princeton University where they will meet and engage with other Prize recipients from across the country. Prize recipients are recognized at ceremonies in their local regions by Princeton alumni.

The City Heights Community Development Corporation “CDC” presents this scholarship to recognize outstanding academic achievements, leadership potential, and community involvement.

Applicants shoud be 12th grade High School students, pursuing higher education, GED, and/or vocational training. It is required that they be residents of City Heights Ten, Metro Villas, and Hollywood Palms, as well as a Hoover High School student, or Health Sciences High & Middle College. Applicants should hold City Heights zip codes and volunteer/participate in a CHCDC program. The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships seeks 30 New Americans who work towards making significant contributions to US society, culture, or their academic field.
