The scholarships are awarded to LGBTQ+ high school seniors continuing on to higher education or full-time undergraduate and graduate students through a competitive application and essay process. In addition to general scholarships, some are offered for specific areas of study: STEM, Art, Education, Community College, and Vocational Studies. Applicants should meet the following requirements: 

• Minimum 3.0 GPA for High School Seniors

• Minimum 2.8 GPA for Undergraduate/Graduate Students

• Be an established resident of San Diego County at time of application

• LGBTQ+ high school senior continuing to full-time** undergraduate study or

• LGBTQ+ full-time** graduate student

​The scholarship committee selects recipients based on commitment to their chosen field, financial need, and academic achievement.

Association of Women in International Trade Scholarship

A merit-based scholarship awarded twice per year to support and encourage women studying all aspects of International Trade, including trade policy and negotiations, global business and supply chains, economic development, women’s economic empowerment, and more. Applicants must identify as female and be currently enrolled at an accredited U.S. university or college, either full-time or part-time as undergraduate Juniors or Seniors, or be enrolled in graduate studies.  ​Applicants should complete an essay on a relevant international trade topic which can either be a bespoke essay submission or an appropriately formatted academic paper from current classwork on a relevant topic. Distinguished Young Women Scholarship
